A built-in Dome View lens with a 185° angle of view enables Dome View shooting. By shooting with the camera pointed upwards, you can cover your own surroundings from all directions in a single shot, capturing an all-round view of the space. By holding the camera vertically, you can capture a wider view of the scenery in front of you. Shoot on the go, whenever the fancy takes you, without worrying about the angle of view.

[4 shooting modes] Choose a shooting mode to suit the scene

Using CASIO’s proprietary image correction function, Dome View images are corrected in real time and cropped to form a flat image, enabling you to shoot in Panorama or Super Wide Angle mode. By choosing the right shooting mode for the scene, you can take photos like you’ve never seen before.

[Dome View] Capture yourself and your surroundings in one shot

Sometimes you want to take a selfie that includes the scenery too. That’s when Dome View mode comes in handy. You can capture yourself and your surroundings simultaneously, in a single shot.

The EXILIM ALBUM smartphone app

This app lets you display your Dome View images as a split-screen montage, with each panel offering a different viewpoint. The montage can show your companions, the rear view, and other things. It might reveal things you didn’t notice at the time. By swiping the screen, you can move the viewpoint, enabling you to relive the moment with a vivid sense of presence.

[Panorama] A 360° view in a single photo

The imaging range of the Dome View lens is cropped to create a 360° image. Without moving the camera, you can capture a high-impact panoramic image in a single shot. So, even when you want a group shot, there’s no need to crowd everyone together in front of the camera. It’s a no-fuss way to record your adventure with a vivid sense of presence.

[Super Wide Angle] Wider than a regular photo

By cropping the central portion out of the lens’s imaging range, the angle of view is leveraged to enable super-wide-angle shooting with a 208° diagonal. This mode comes in handy when you want to capture a wider view of the scenery or a big group of people.

[Full 360°] Shooting an all-round view of the space

By using two camera units at the same time, you can shoot a full-360° image that captures an all-round view in both horizontal and vertical directions. Using the EXILIM ALBUM smartphone app, you can not only view your own images from multiple viewpoints, but also convert them to a file format supported by YouTube’s 360° Video channel.

This app lets you compile your own still images and movies to create an album on your smartphone. It offers new, fun ways to view your images. Besides allowing you to view Dome View or Full 360° view, it can also automatically select highlights from your stills and movie footage, and then display them in a timeline, or create a movie montage for you.

Split-screen display

Images shot in Dome View or Full 360° mode are displayed in a split-screen montage, with each panel offering a different viewpoint. When you select the area you want to view, the view is changed to Full-screen display, centering on that area.

By swiping the screen to move the displayed area, you can move intuitively around the entire Dome View image. You can also move the displayed area in concert with the orientation and angle of your smartphone, enabling you to relive the experience with a vivid sense atmosphere.

Timeline creation is automatic

Still images and movies showing highlights of the day are automatically selected from your album, and displayed in a timeline with background music. As on a social networking site, you can scroll up and down the timeline as you look back at the day’s events. You can also display individual images by tapping the screen.

Easy sharing

Once a highlight timeline has been created, you can export it as an automatically-scrolling movie, and save it on your smartphone. You can also upload it to social networking sites to share with everyone.

Accessing the “Scene” smartphone app

You can very conveniently view, sort and share images at high speed by using the “Scene” access function of the “EXILIM Connect” app. The “Scene” smartphone app can be easily accessed from the “EXILIM Connect” app’s TOP screen or the screen displayed after sending images.

“Scene” is a smartphone app that is specifically designed for “enjoying pictures on your smartphone”. It features a simple and intuitive interface for quickly searching any desired image, and easily sorting photos in your album with the touch of your finger. Other features include the capability to send friends a maximum of 1,000 shots at one time for as many times as you may want.

[Interval Shooting] Handy for shooting hands-free or on the go

This feature automatically shoots movie footage and snapshots at fixed intervals. The shooting interval (5 sec/15 sec/30 sec/1 min/2 min) and shooting style (Snapshot Only/Movie Only/Snapshot + Movie) can be set as desired. To optimize the shooting interval for your current activity, just select the appropriate scene setting (Standard/Hiking/Cycling/Snow & Water/Leisure). Even in Interval Shooting mode, you can still take snapshots and shoot movies manually.

[Max. 30 fps High-speed Continuous Shutter*] Captures the moment you want to shoot

EXILIM has realized high-speed continuous shooting at up to 30 frames/second. It can capture fast-moving subjects in crucial moments.

[Prerecord Continuous Shutter] Can also capture continuous shots the moment before you press the shutter

This feature takes a high-speed, continuous burst of up to 30 shots, just before and just after the shutter is fully depressed. You need never miss another photo-opportunity.

[High-speed Movie] Captures moments on video that you can’t see

Activities such as active sports feature movement that is too fast to be seen by the naked eye. This function captures such movement as high-speed movie footage at 120 or 240 fps. These moments of movement can then be played back in slow motion.

[4K Movie] Record high-definition movies

The 4K Movie function lets you shoot movies in the high-definition 4K format. This format offers a definition level roughly twice as high as full HD, so even your most dynamic scenes will look sharp and detailed when played back on large screens.

[Time Lapse] create a time-condensed movie automatically

It automatically creates time short a movie from still images taken at specified times. There are 3 types each of images to use and playback speeds.
